PUNJABI PAKORA KADHi
Ingredients
- For Pakoras
- Gram Flour (basen) - 1 Cup
- Salt to Taste
- Red Chili Powder - 1 Teaspoon (as Per Taste)
- Green Chilies - 2 (As Per Taste)
- Baking Soda - 1/4 Teaspoon
- Chopped Green Coriander - 2 Tablespoon
- Chpped Onion - 1 Large
- Oil For Frying
- Water (As needed)
- For Curry
- Yogurt - 1 1/2 Cup
- Gram Flour (basen) - 3 Tablespoon
- Cumin Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
- Chopped Ginger - 1 1/2 Tablespoob
- Dry Red Chilies - 3-4 into two pieces
- Chopped Coriander (Cilantro) - 2 Tablespoon
- Turmeric Powder - 1/2 Teaspoon
- Salt to Taste
- Red Chili Powder - 1 Teaspoon
- Chopped Garlic - 1 Teaspoon
- Oil - 2 Tablespoon
- Curry Leaves - 5-6
- Water (As needed)
- Mustard Seeds - 1 Teaspoon
Instructions
For Pakoras:
- In a bowl mix basen ,red chili powder, salt, baking soda, green chilies,green corianderand add water.
- Mix nicely make sure there are no lumps.
- Make sure batter is not very thick or very thin,add the water accordingly.
- Add the onions to the mixture and mix well. If the batter is too thin add more gram flour.
- Heat the oil in a pan take small amount of mixture as a golf ball size and fry them all until golden brown from all sides.
- Shut the gas and remove all the pakoras from oil and keep it on paper towel.
For Kadhi
- In a bowl whisk yogurt and basen.
- Heat the oil add mustard seeds,garlic,cumin seeds mix and add dry red chilies,curry leaves ,ginger stir it nicely ,let the ginger get cooked for minute.
- Add turmeric powder and mix.
- add yogurt mixture and one cup of water (depend on how thick or thin you want add water accordingly) give a nice stir.
- Give a nice boil until basen is cook , add salt ,red chili powder and stir nicely.
- On slow gas add green chilies ,green coriander and mix.
- Add pakoras and let it boil for two minutes .
- Switch off the gas and decorate with chopped green coriander.
- Eat with hot steamed rice.
